Designer & Tutor in calligraphy until 2005
After living and working in Cambridge for many years I made the move to the Northamptonshire countryside with my husband & young family in 1993 which proved inspirational to the development of my paintings. I am now surrounded with wonderful gentle rural landscapes, rivers and big skies which are inspirational in the development of my work.
Recently I have included many paintings of the Norfolk and Suffolk coast.
Painting regularly 'plein air' is inspirational and useful for reflection when I'm back in my studio.
I exhibit regularly both solo and with groups of fellow artists throughout the year.
My work hangs in several galleries including The Primrose gallery in Thrapston, The Dolby Gallery in Oundle, the Stamford Contemproray gallery & Boughton House.
Calligraphy still finds its way into some of my watercolours!
I am a member of the Welland Valley Art Society exhibiting twice a year in the Stamford Art centre.
I paint regularly with the Oundle art group.
I accept commissions and visits to my home gallery by appointment.
I have sold paintings hanging in Portugal, Spain, Australia, USA and beyond.
