Purdey Studio is in my log cabin outside my beautiful thatched cottage in Bozeat. I run a brand design and photography business. But over the last few years I have found that creating my art has really spoken to my soul and helps to relax me. My English Springer Spaniels and walking out in nature always inspires me, so it is only right that I delve deeper and create beautiful pieces of art that reveals the true beautiful energy and form of nature and animals.
I love to work with charcoal, pastels and exploring mixed media and printmaking skills. I find creating monochrome art really helps to bring out the real soul and pares back all the noise that colour can to reveal the real beauty. When outside, I love to slow down and really look at the detail and beauty that we can see in nature. So I have my camera or Iphone at the ready just in case. My artist inspiration is Constable, Leonardo da Vinci and Christian Hook.
