Over the years I have developed my style in ceramics and my brand values from my home studio which overlooks our garden.
Giving plants and flowers a repurpose is important to me. I press the flowers into the clay when soft, and then peel them back out to reveal the most beautiful organic skeleton, before constructing into forms such as vases, jugs, tea light houses, bowls, or left flat if turning into a wall hanging or coasters. Once the flower impressed clay is fired, the flowers are preserved into a forever keepsake that will last. It means a lot to me that the commissions I make bring people so much joy and contain special memories from their meaningful flowers.
Enjoying a challenge, I like to create bespoke pieces with a story behind them and work with a lot of wedding flowers, as well as funeral flowers, flowers from Christenings, retirements, birthdays, garden flowers, stems from a special place, or just because. Pieces can be personalised for that extra special touch.
I use locally sourced clay which is a very durable material, enabling my work to be displayed outside in all weather conditions.
