Got the basic crochet skills, and want to try something new? Join Nicky from A Heart Shaped Cherry, and learn to make a Harvest Basket, using recycled T-shirt yarn and a larger hook.

Wonderful Eco Recycled T-shirt yarn makes the best sturdy baskets for your home whilst saving the waste from the European textile industry.

Nicky will teach you techniques for using the yarn to make the basket: magic ring; the "knit look” stitch; as well as neat finishing methods. Choose from seasonal shades of recycled T-shirt yarn to compliment your home and there is an option to add handles or to finish the basket in a second colour.

You will receive full instruction from Nicky - numbers are kept low to ensure you get all the attention you need. Take home a finished basket (the final size will depend on the speed of workshoppers, but expect to make one approx 10cm in depth and height), the pattern to keep and your very own crochet hook. As always there is a warm welcome, hot drinks and homemade cake to keep you going.

As this is a longer crochet project (the day runs from 10:30 to 3pm) do bring a packed lunch.

Crochet knowledge required: chain stitch, double crochet, slip stitch (UK terms).
