Has been interested in painting and making marks from an early age and works with various materials from offcuts of plastic to fine watercolour. Currently the items on show in her studio include sculpture, watercolour, pastel and acrylic. Sometimes an underlay of watercolour will be worked over with pastel or ink to intensify the visual effect but occasionally joyous colour will spread with a palette knife or even a twig .
Texture gives richness to the work, which has recently been based on monoprinting.
Local life in the charming village where Studio 19 is based , the outside space in the garden and sailing trips in Greek waters have provided a rich harvest of watercolours.
Paintings have been shown in major exhibitions in this county and beyond over the past 20 years including three solo ones.Prizewinner at Open19 in The Alfred East.
Exhibitions are held about twice a year at studio 19, always with the aim of raising money for local causes, visitors including children are very welcome to drop in at the studio at any time provided they make a prior arrangement. Currently the exhibition is totally Covid safe,being viewed through glass from the garden .

Studio 19 is approached from Church Way in Thorpe Malsor.Turn up the small lane by the bus shelter and bear right onto The Square. Studio19 is the only old stone house on The Square and will have a sign outside.
