I am a ceramic practitioner designer maker based outside Barby, a village that sits on the outskirts of the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire border.
By using the initial techniques of slabbing and coiling in clay the following impressed marks on my work are created from found forms and objects from the the seascape and landscape.
Greenware is sometimes burnished and all work is internally earthenware or stoneware glazed and sometimes sea glass is added.
Clay is a limitless wonderful medium which gives me a visual voice thus enabling me to have a creative canvass for my personal expressions and feelings.
Visualizing moments of emotions and communicating this expression non-verbally in clay.
I try to show commitment to my work by not replicating any piece so the owner can be confident they have bought a unique individual piece.
