The practice envelops the mystery and fascination around water and the reflection and distortion created by the intensity of light within the movement of water. There is an obsession with the allure of the unknown, the abstract compassing representational in one piece of art.
The practice is predominately oil paints but work created in graphite, charcoal and water colour aid the practice.
The practice is Influenced and inspired by video artist Bill Viola with his “Ascension “ Influences are also Kehinde Wiley with his use of colour palette, George Shaw with his Nostalgic scenes and Vija Celmins and her ocean drawings to name but a few.
