Graham came to art late after his wife bought him a box of paints. A friend encouraged him to go to evening classes and from then he began going to residential courses and continued to study by himself. Originally he painted with watercolour but in recent years after retiring he attended oil painting classes. He enjoys painting landscapes and seascapes and is particularly talented painting trees.
Graham trained as a carpenter and loves structure and form. He loves buildings and always carries his camera and rhapsodises over doors and lintels and Dutch roofs and thatch. He does some beautiful ink sketches and his sketch books are well worth a look.
He is reluctant to sell his paintings but is running out of space so he has been persuaded to participate in Open Studios. His most recent project has been capturing moments around Wicksteed Park which now seems very special.
