Brenda works from her small home studio, crammed with everything an artist needs (or might possibly need). She exhibits extensively throughout the county and further afield - with the Royal Society of Marine Artists at the Mall Galleries and with the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists - both prestigious exhibitions. She also has a painting in the permanent collection at the Alfred East Gallery in Kettering.
Brenda's paintings, mostly done in acrylics, are quirky, naïve and colourful with a touch of humour. You can leave the ups and downs of real life behind you while you enjoy the harbours with their quaint, higgledy piggledy cottages and jolly fishing boats; the riotous colours of the fields in the rather surreal landscapes; and the newest arrivals on the scene - the oh so appealing cats and dogs
All of the work is simply meant to bring joy to the observer!
Illustration work has featured largely in Brenda's career and she has illustrated both books and magazine articles over the years. She is currently working on some illustrated picture books for 3 - 5 year olds. Zingy colours are in evidence again.
